About Brigitte Everett I am a Board Certified and Licensed massage therapist, bodyworker, foot reflexologist and weight trainer in private practice since l985. I am licensed in both Maryland and Washington, DC. I obtained certification for Massage and Bodywork from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 1994. I combine knowledge and experience with fine intuition. My main goal is to provide professional care with sensitivity to the client's particular needs. The core of my work is centered on helping my clients regain balance and well-being of body, mind and spirit. I have adopted as my motto, "The foundation of understanding is the willingness to listen." When a client comes to me for an initial visit I listen carefully and quickly get a sense of that client's particular needs. Sometimes the client is stressed out and needs balancing and re-energizing. Other times there are specific discomfort areas that need attention. Whatever the situation, I have been blessed with being able to help 98% of the people who have come to me for relief. I always make sure that I provide a serene, healing and nurturing environment. Aromatherapy (if desired), soft music and the sounds of moving water provide an atmosphere that allows my client to feel a sense of safety, nurturing and comfort. I truly aim at giving my client a mini vacation while she/he is under my care. One of my clients who comes frequently says to me "I don't consider getting a massage therapy session with you a luxury, to me it's a necessity." For fun and exercise I do ballroom dancing which for the last several years has brought a lot of sparkle into my life, and has allowed my inner child to "come out and play." I also love to garden and enjoy bringing a lot of different plants and colors together. I practice Yoga and meditation to help me remain strong and centered. I am blessed with having clients who have used my services for several years. Many of them have written letters of appreciation. Click here to read some of those letters. How I named my site... Several years ago when I decided to have a website the time came to choose a name for it. Having heard praises from my clients often about “…my magic, healing hands…” I thought maybe I could use the word “magic” somehow. I remember discussing this with a weekly client at the time. This client had first come to me requesting Foot Reflexology treatments because of severe lack of sensitivity and numbness of the feet caused by diabetes. To this client’s delight the numbness began to dissipate from the very beginning of her sessions with me. When I mentioned to her my thought of using the word “magic” in my website her comment was: “I don’t think it is magic at all, I think it is a MIRACLE that I can suddenly feel my feet now, I am enjoying walking again, I am so grateful!” This is how I was inspired to call my site “miracleworks.com”, but I was told this name had already been taken, and they suggested several other names of which “mymiracleworks” was one. To this day my practice is still “sprinkled with miracles” for which my clients and I are very grateful. Peace and blessings to all, ![]() |
